Dr. Alan Riley

Law & Geopolitics

Dr. Alan Riley specialises in EU, and international commercial law, and law and geopolitics. He has written extensively on EU energy law and EU competition law and European energy security. He is a Senior Fellow of the Atlantic Council and sits on the Advisory Committee of the Energy Community. Formerly he was Professor of law at City, University of London. He holds a PhD in European Union law from the Europa Institute, Edinburgh University; and qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Henry Strickland has over 40 years’ experience as a management consultant. During that time he has led multiple assignments in corporate strategy, organisation-wide culture change, operations management and innovation, for a global and widely diverse client base. He was with Arthur D. Little for seven years, before setting up his own consulting practice, Henry Strickland Associates, which specialised in developing and implementing successful change programmes for clients.

David Hobbs is a former Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, with over 35 years of experience in international relations and security.As Secretary General, he guided and managed the Assembly’s political agenda and extensive programme of activities. Having joined the Assembly in 1983, he was involved in its post-Cold War transformation, including new democracy assistance programmes to help partner nations develop their parliamentary practices and institutions. His leadership through subsequent shifts in the strategic landscape played a key role in raising the Assembly’s stature and influence.
